Painting and Decorating: Level 1 CSKILLS Diploma - Part Time

Course Summary:

The part-time Diploma in Painting and Decorating at Nescot College is a 1-year course which combines both skills and knowledge sessions, enabling you to gain good practical skills with underpinning job knowledge of Painting and Decorating. You will work towards achieving 8 units of competence throughout the year which will culminate in an end of year examination.

Knowledge Unit Details:
- Know how to carry out safe working practices in construction
- Knowledge of information, quantities and communicating with others
- Knowledge of building methods and construction technology
- Know how to erect and dismantle access equipment and working platforms
- Know how to prepare surfaces for decoration
- Know how to apply paint systems by brush and roller
- Know how to apply foundation and plain papers
- Know how to produce specialist decorative finishes.

Upon successful completion of the Diploma Level 1 programme you may progress to the Diploma Level 2 (Painting and Decorating).
