This is a two year part time course. If you’ve got a level 3 qualification and experience in childcare and would like to build on this by gaining a higher qualification, our Foundation degree in Early Years is designed for you. Applicants should have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Playwork eg BTEC National Diploma/Certificate, CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education, NVQ Level 3 EYCE or Playwork or Diploma in Pre-School Practice. Plus GCSE English & Maths at C and above. Applicants also need to be working in an Early Years setting in either a paid or voluntary position.What does the course involve?
The course will be delivered through a series of lectures, seminars, presentations, independent study and tutorials. Assessment is through assignment work, case studies and presentations.What option will be open to me if I successfully complete the course? Completion of the programme can lead to employment as a Senior Practitioner in an early years setting or to the final year of BA in Education Studies at the University of Hertfordshire.
