This course aims to raise awareness of the potential uses of ICT
and its implications for individuals, organisations and society.
The practical skills to be gained are in Word Processing,
Spreadsheets, Databases and PowerPoint presentations and these will
be used to develop ICT-based solutions to problems. This practical
work will occupy 60% of the course. The remainder of the time will
be spent developing an understanding of current and emerging ICT
