The Programme Content

The course is based in our music and arts venue and is extremely well resourced with individual workstations for every student providing a production and communication learning environment in our new custom built suite. The main recording studio features an Allen and Heath GS3000 Mixer, Pro Tools HD recording on Mac G5 and a comprehensive set of quality outboard facilities. There is another pro tools suite at the main Barnstaple campus and a project and mixing room at the off site campus. Software includes pro tools, logic, reaktor, final cut and dreamweaver.

Entry Requirements

If you are completing post 16 education and will achieve a national diploma or A Level in Music or Music Technology, or any relevant Advanced Level 3 courses, then this could be your next move. We happily accept applications from mature students and will often take a wider more flexible view of your skills or potential, even if you have missed out on formal qualifications.

Costs

Students will need to provide DVDs, CDs, good quality headphones and will find a large capacity USB pen/hard drive of real benefit. There will be some printing and photocopying costs incurred and some technical reference books will be strongly recommended. To enable the studios to function efficiently there is an annual materials fee of £120.
