NEBOSH Award in Health and Safety for the Process Industries (Cogent Gold Standard Safety Qualifications) Level 2

Cogent Gold Standard Safety Qualifications Level 2 Awarding Body: NEBOSH Course Details The Gold Standard is a national framework for continuous professional development setting out the skills and qualifications required for world class performance in key job roles in the process industries. Cogent has worked closely with partners to create SHE qualifications which will meet the Gold Standard compliance competencies needed for a Process Operator and Process Technician. To complete the Gold Standard Award the candidate is required to study the following: Nebosh Award in Safety, Health and Environment for the Process Industries (full gold standard) Unit HSW1– Workplace Safety Foundations. Unit PS1– Process Safety. Unit PS2– Environmental Management. Course Length Full Time 5 days Part Time 5 days up to a maximum of five weeks A Course for Process Operator and Process Technician. Entry Requirements There are no barriers to entry to the award programme but it should be noted that assessment includes a requirement to write short reports. Assessment The Cogent Gold Standard Safety is assessed by one 90 minute multi choice examination. Candidates must achieve a pass standard to be awarded the NEBOSH Award in Safety, Health and Environment for the Process Industries.
