Description

This is a programme is aimed to support you understand the basics of employment issues in order to manage employees more effectively and protect both yourself and your employees.

By the end of the programme you will have a solid understanding of the need for ‘best practice’ in the recruitment process to ensure the ‘right’ employee is selected appreciate the legalities in the recruitment and employment process and effectively manage employees during the early period of employment. You will also explore the need to manage the relationship effectively touching on disciplinary and grievance issues. Absence sickness and termination of employment will be covered also.

Your will learning will take place via some of the following methods: Teaching: lectures presentations Moodle Google Drive demonstrations podcasts workshop Movenote. Learning individual work action research pair and group working flipped learning.

This qualification aims to give practicing and potential team leaders the foundation for their formal development in this role by developing management skills thereby enabling you to perform effectively.

No formal entry requirements required. Entry is related to work experience and a background which will enable you to benefit from the programme.
