English for Media Production
The media industry is continuously evolving and developing in new and innovative ways. This course offers learners the opportunity to study English in relation to a diverse range of media topics, including scriptwriting, video editing and camera operation. Classes will take place in our specialist Mac suites and TV studio. Our tutors are actively involved in the media industry and will use this up-to-date knowledge to provide you with detailed feedback that will help you to constantly improve your media production skills.
This course includes 25 hours tuition plus a full day excursion on Saturdays.

- Written and spoken conventions for use of media production
terminology
Media Production
- Differences in cultural conventions, expectations and body
language
- Scriptwriting conventions for film, television and corporate
productions e.g. formats, structures and requirements for
screenplays, teleplays, factual (documentary and news) and
advertisements
- Business conventions, e.g. pitching/presenting, pre-production
planning and documentation, report/letter formats
All students receive a college Summer School certificate as well as a progress report after completion of their course.
- Intermediate to Advanced Level English
- Minimum age 16
