Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Light Vehicle Level 3 Diploma

This course is designed to give students a nationally recognised qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair, providing the knowledge, skills and understanding required to gain employment within the industry. It covers the diagnosis and rectification of faults in engine, electrical, chassis and transmission systems.

You will receive instruction, guidance and encouragement to practise and develop the skills necessary to achieve the award.

The course covers a wide range of subjects including:
- Inspect vehicles
- Diagnose and rectify vehicle engine systems
- Diagnose and rectify vehicle chassis systems
- Diagnose and rectify auxiliary equipment and electrical faults

You expand on the basic skills and knowledge and gain a nationally-recognised qualification.

You should have completed a Level 2 motor vehicle service and repair qualification. After applying you will be invited to complete initial assessments to ensure that you are at the right level of learning for the course

The Level 3 in motor vehicle provides the ideal foundation from which to further your skills within the motor industry. Possible job roles you could consider include:
• light or heavy vehicle diagnostic technician
• motorcycle diagnostic technician
• auto-electrical diagnostic technician
