developed technology.
This means that you'll confidently be able to bring your skills to
a broad section of the industry, such as manufacturing, testing of
circuits, maintenance of equipment, installation, technical sales
or basic design and development.

This HNC provides an academic platform to enter a number of post HNC courses, such as a HND, Foundation Degree, or an Honours degree, which allows you to work towards the professional status of Incorprated Engineer.

Assessment
Assessment is carried out by a variety of methods, dependant on the particular unit of study. Methods of assessment include in-course assignments, laboratory work, formal examinations and projects.
Special features
Once you've successfully completed this HNC you may continue your learning by doing another year of study to achieve a HND or Foundation Degree (FdSc). Further study on the BSc (Hons) Electronic Engineering is then possible.

Special facilities
You'll have access to the Maritime and Technology Faculty's own
network of approximately 100 fully networked desktop PCs, in
addition to the University's general network of around 600 PCs and
100 Apple Macs.
All these machines are equipped with a wide range of industry
standard applications, programming languages and system development
tools, and offer free e-mail and Internet access. Laptop hire is
also available.
Fees
Fees for the 2012/13 academic year are:
£3,710 pa for UK and EU students.
Overseas students please contact the faculty for details of fees. Students also pay an Edexcel Registration fee, contact the faculty office for details.
