Who is this course for?

Food Hygiene Training is a legal requirement for anyone working in the food industry, or is classed as a food handler in some way. This basic course is ideal for those in catering, food retailing, food processing, caring, nurseries and other activities where sound knowledge of food hygiene, including 'high risk' areas, is necessary.

The Food Safety Certificate course is run on a demand-led basis and takes place at various times throughout the academic year – please see the Part Time Prospectus

How long does the course last?

This course runs for 1 day (6 hours), plus the 1 hour examination

How will I be assessed?

Examination is by a 30-question, multiple-choice paper.
