The Core units are:- Government, policies and the public services
- Leadership and teamwork in the public services
- Citizenship, Contemporary society and the public service
- Understanding discipline in the public services
- Physical preparation, health and lifestyle for the public services
- Fitness, testing and training for the public services
- Understand the impact of war, conflict and terrorism on the public services
- Outdoor and adventurous expeditions
- Crime and its effects on society
- Responding to emergency incidents
- Planning and management of major incidents
- Custodial care services
- Social welfare services
- Practical team sports
What qualifications do I need?
- 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English or Maths, OR
- 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C excluding English or Maths, OR
- Level 2 qualification in a related subject
- Adequate standard of English and Maths
- Mature learners with other qualifications and/or experience are also welcomed
- You should have a strong interest in working in the public services and demonstrate a commitment to succeed
