Who is this course for?

What will I do on the course?

The course will cover all of the underpinning knowledge related to the internal quality assurance qualifications. This includes principles and practices of internal quality assurance, roles and responsibilities of the internal quality assurer, strategies to plan and conduct internal quality assurance, provide feedback and record outcomes. For those in an internal quality assurance role and completing practical units this will be supported by 1:1 sessions to develop and assess practical skills.

What qualifications do I need?

A recognised assessor qualification (e.g. D awards, A1, TAQA) is desirable. To access the practical units you will need to be in an internal quality assurance role and competent/experienced in the sector you will be verifying.

What could I do after completing the course?

The course may provide the opportunity to progress to the role of internal quality Assurer, and/or to progress to or initial teaching qualifications (PTLLS).

How will I be assessed?

You will be required to compile a portfolio of evidence. Assessment will be by a number of methods including written statements, professional discussion and observation.

What equipment will I need?

Normal stationery requirements.
