Course Content: This course aims to provide you with a broad understanding of mechanical systems design techniques as well as the application of those in various areas. It will ensure that you complete the course having developed skills such as report writing, communication and teamwork skills, which are of very high importance within the industry.

The qualification comprises of 10 units for the full award, of which there are 6 core units;

• Business Management Techniques

• Engineering Design

• Engineering Science

• Maths

• A Project

• Mechanical Principles

Four optional units can be chosen from a range of mechanical units. Entry Qualification: For entry on to this course, you are required to have gained at least one of the following:

• A National Certificate or Diploma in Engineering

• A GNVQ Advanced in engineering of manufacture

• 2 A Level passes in relevant subjects

• An Advanced Diploma in Engineering Special Features: There is a choice of specialist units available.
