Entry Qualification: Minimum entry age 18.Good communication skills
are essential, level 2 qualifications in English and Maths are
desirable
A minimum of 4 hours per week placement in a school of your choice
(year 1 and above). (It is your responsibility to secure a
placement prior to enrolling on the course)
Progression: To NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and
Learning in Schools.
To NCFE Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in
Schools
City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 for those applicants in paid
employment as Teaching Assistants with suitable skills
Foundation degree (with appropriate minimum qualifications)
Employment as a teaching assistant in school
