Entry Qualification: This course is designed for anyone with young
children of reading age , for nursery nurses and teaching
assistants wishing to extend their knowledge and skills in the
delivery of phonics.
Although no formal prior qualifications are necessary, candidates
should have the minimum level of literacy. The minimum age of entry
will normally be eighteen years
Course Format: Part time college certificate
Progression: To NCFE Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting
Teaching and Learning in Schools. Employment as a teaching
assistant in school
