Full-Time courses for 16-18 School Leavers are Free.
If you are aged between 19 and 23 and you don’t have a qualification equivalent to 2 A Levels, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria AND are aged 19-23, tuition fees will be waived. Tuition fees will not be waived for students aged over 23 studying a Level 3 or higher course, however these students may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan.

Entry Qualification: To qualify for entry onto this course you
should have:
• Level 2 in General Beauty Therapy or Level 2 in Hairdressing
• Level 2 Functional Skills in Literacy or a minimum C grade at
English GCSE
• Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths (working towards Level 2)
• A regular work placement/beauty employment is compulsory.
Course Format: This course consists of exams, and knowledge
questions are completed throughout the course for each unit, as
well as the completion of a portfolio of work by the end of the
course. Students could be timetabled to attend an evening practical
salon until 9pm, as well as 1 day in a placement.
For each unit, students will be practically assessed where they can
achieve pass, merit or distinction. Students will undergo an online
assessment including multiple choice questions. Achievement is also
based on the ability to achieve the appropriate level in practical
skills and competences. Progression: Having completed the course,
you then have the option of progressing onto the City and Guilds
Level 3 in Artificial Nails, part time. You may also progress onto
a Foundation Degree, or You may gain employment in beauty salons in
a variety of locations and environments related to the Beauty
Industry, cruise liners, mobile therapy.
