Construction Skills - Brickwork Level 2
This course is designed for students who have successfully completed the Level 1 Diploma in Brickwork. Students are required to attend college for three days per week.
Course content includes a range of training projects based on bricklaying skills. Some of these modules include:
- Safe working practices
- Information, quantities and communication
- Methods of construction
- Setting out
- Thin joint masonry and masonry cladding
- Solid walling
- Cavity walling

4 GCSE's grade D or above. Vocational qualifications will be considered on their own merit. You will be required to successfully pass an interview showing enthusiasm and commitment towards this course. Individual cases outside of this criteria will be considered on their own merits.

Progress and achievement is recorded
throughout the year via:
- Practical Assessments
- Theory Assessments
- Portfolio Assessments
- External Tests
Progression from this course:
On completion of the Award, evidence can be credited towards NVQ Level 2 when in suitable employment.

Course Costs:
All students on full-time courses will need to pay a materials / resources fee. Details will be provided before enrolment. If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay tuition or registration fees for your course. For students aged 19 or over, there will be a tuition fee (depends on the course) for each year of the course as well as a registration fee (which includes exam fees). However, many students will be eligible for reduced fees and / or financial support towards the costs. Click here for detailed information.
