This is a nationally recognised level 3 qualification giving a sound overview of safety management in the workplace. It reflects the health and safety executive¿s guide on how organisations should manage occupational health and safety.
It is designed to help those with health and safety responsibilities at work such as managers, supervisors and employee representatives carry out their day to day duties more effectively. It is also seen as a first step in a career in health and safety.
The course follows the NEBOSH syllabus which is divided in to three units:

Practical application assessment is by an end examination
consisting of two written papers and a practical assessment.
This course is undertaken one day a week for a period of 12 weeks
with a further day and a half for the exams. The written exams will
be held on Friday 9 December 2011 at the King¿s Lynn campus. The
practical exam will be held in the candidate¿s workplace (or King¿s
Lynn campus if not available) within 2 weeks of the written
papers.
Entry Requirements:
No interview required
No previous health and safety knowledge is required but students must be able to write short reports. Those with limited experience of this will require additional training.
