Candidates will benefit from having knowledge of how to recognise signs and symptoms of challenging behaviour within their working environment identify causes and deal with situations using simple interventions to diffuse difficult and potentially aggressive situations. Outline of programme The challenging behaviour course covers: Definition of ‘Challenging Behaviour’ Types of Challenging Behaviour Recognising potential triggers Understanding why the behaviour becomes challenging Effective ways to deal with such situations Assessment: This managing challenging behaviour course is delivered in 2 hours and candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn along with interaction of group activities.
