AS and A2 History – Modern
Level: Level 3
Students will learn about the rise of extreme ideologies (including Fascism and Communism), changes in attitudes within British society, and conflict between superpowers in the twentieth century.
Commitment – the ability and drive to carry out extra research outside of class time. A Level History is a big step-up from GCSE History, and due to the level of analysis and range of content covered in the course, it is imperative that students have a high level of attendance.
- AS year: Trip to the Holocaust Exhibition at the Imperial War Museum in London
- A2 year: Trip to Berlin to visit a variety of historical sites, including: remnants of the Berlin Wall, the Reichstag, Checkpoint …
