Introduction

The course offers focussed evidence based training in an area of work which is in great demand with the NHS. It requires personal and time commitment to meet different demands which include compilation of a portfolio and regular supervision. You will undertake at least 30 hours of client work with at least three different clients using CBT.

How Will I Be Assessed?

Internal assessment is based on completion of an evidence based portfolio. External assessment is based on completion of a case study.

Entry Requirements

To benefit from this training you should already be a Counselling Practitioner and hold a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (or its RPL equivalent) and currently use, or intend to use, CBT as an integral part of your counselling work.

Additional Information

This course is currently taught on a Friday and Saturday once a month October - July

Progression

Once you have completed the course you will be able to proceed onto a Foundation Degree in Counselling.

Career Opportunities

You will be able to become a CBT Practitioner in both private and public sectors.
