Beauty Therapy Level 1 Diploma

Learn new skills in skincare, photographic make-up, nail art and more to help you get started on a career in the beauty industry.
The diploma gives you a good all-round introduction and is the ideal platform to progress to Level 2.

You will cover the following areas:
- introduction to the hair and beauty sector
- presenting a professional image in a salon
- creating a hair and beauty image
- working with others in the hair and beauty sector
- providing basic manicure and pedicure treatments
- salon reception duties
- skincare
- basic make-up application photographic make-up and themed face painting
- nail art application

You will also learn all relevant health and safety, anatomy and personal presentation skills.
Assessment is continuous throughout the year.
Learning is through a mix of theory and practical classes, which give you hands-on experience.

On successful completion you will gain a Beauty Therapy Level 1 Diploma.

A good recent school report with a minimum of 85% attendance, three GCSEs at grade D and a positive attitude towards entering the industry.

Having successfully achieved your Level 1 Diploma you can progress to a Level 2 beauty course which we run here at Banbury and Bicester College.

You will learn in our on-campus beauty salons, which offer facilities found in the workplace.
