Beauty Therapy Level 1 Diploma

Learn new skills in skin care basic and photographic make up nail art and more so that you can get started on a career in the beauty industry. The Diploma in Beauty gives you a good all-round introduction and is the ideal platform to progress to Level 2.

You cover the following areas:
- introduction to the hair and beauty sector
- presenting a professional image in a salon
- creating a hair and beauty image
- working with others in the hair and beauty sector
- providing basic manicure and pedicure treatments
- salon reception duties
- skin care
- basic make up application photographic make-up and themed face painting
- nail art application

You also learn all relevant health and safety anatomy and personal presentation skills.

You'll receive regular tutor feedback and be assessed continuously throughout the year.

Learning is through a mix of theory and practical classes which give you hands-on experience.

You'll gain the qualification Level 1 Diploma in Beauty.

A good recent school report with a minimum of 85% attendance three x D grade GCSEs and a good positive attitude towards the industry.

Successful achievement means that you can progress to a Level 2 Beauty course which we run here at City of Oxford College.
