Who is this course for? The course is for young people 16-18 who have, or are recovering from, a mental health condition. CourseLink courses run for 6 weeks each. At the end of a course students are eligible to apply for the next. What qualifications or experience do I need ? Students need to have literacy skills at E3. This can be shown by a qualification or by a test at interview. What will I study ? Students will study Art and Personal and Social Development. How will I be assessed ? Both qualifications are assessed by building up portfolios over the year, which are then assessed in June. What qualifications could I achieve ? BTEC Edexcel Entry Three Art and Design. BTEC Edexcel Entry Three Personal and Social Development. What can the course lead to ? It is hoped that studying on CourseLink will allow students to increase their confidence and skills. They will be then be able to progress to our 4 day a week programme CourseLink Extra, or onto mainstream courses or employment. Students can progress onto CourseLink Extra after 6 weeks if their attendance, punctuality and engagement is good. How do I join the course ?
