LLDD Pre-Entry Explore Learning (PMLD)

Who is this course for? Students with profound, complex and multiple learning disabilities, aged between 18 - 25, the learners will be working through M1 - M5 to develop their communication skills, their personal and social development, their interactions with others and basic skills. What qualifications or experience do I need ? Prospective candidates need to be working between milestones 1 - 5; candidates will be individually assessed for their suitability against the criteria, the expected course content and the accreditation on offer. Milestone level 1 - 5 What will I study ? - Sensory gardening - Sensory art - Communication skills - Sensory cookery - Communication stories - Relaxation - Intensive interaction - Exploring the senses - Dance and movement - Exploring the world How will I be assessed ? Base line and initial assessments, individual learning plans which include set learning goals against the learning milestones, individuals completed work. What qualifications could I achieve ? College certificate to award attendance and participation What can the course lead to ? Internal progression throughout the explore learning modules, progression onto courses at GP, enterprise activities including exhibitions and sales, possible work experiences.
