LEVEL 3 SUBISDIARY IN HORTICULTURE 60 CREDITS

We aim to provide training in the principles and practices of Horticulture. This includes the development of skills and knowledge needed for employment and career progression in the horticulture industry at supervisory level.

How you will gain the qualification

Students gain the qualification by completing a series of practical and written assessments. Students must complete Yea 1 to progress to Year 2.

What qualifications you need

Suitable industry experience and at least 5 GCSE's at Grade A*-C including English language/Welsh and either Maths or Science. Alternatively, successful completion of a Level 2 Diploma in Horticulture at Merit or Distinction level plus literacy and numeracy at Level 2. All applicants will be interviewed to establish their suitability for the course. Applicants should be employed within the Horticulture industry whilst undertaking the course. Enthusiasm and commitment are essential.

Where to next

Learners who complete Year 1 can progress to Year 2. The course is intended to help students progress their careers within the horticulture industry and can lead to further study, employment and/or self employment.
