This course gives students an introduction to a variety of areas
including; performance skills, rehearsal skills, studio recording,
music technology, the music business and music theory.You will work
in bands towards regular performances. Our weekly lunchtime gigs
give you the opportunity to hear performances from visiting
professionals including former students and staff. All students
perform at the college's very own Festival- Chi-Fest – in June.

professional musicians with knowledge of the industry What will I
Study? You will study the Music Industry, Managing a Music Product,
Music and Production Analysis, Music Showcase. You will research A
music topic, have an Introduction to Music Performance, and music
sequencing, you will work towards Solo Music Performances and Music
Ensemble work. How will I be Taught? There will be a range of both
practical and theoretical subjects. Each unit will require you to
complete assessment activities which will be set throughout the
year. All the information and criteria to be addressed will be
available on line and all of the subject material will be delivered
at college. How will I be Assessed? Each unit will give students
the opportunity to be assessed at different times during the
course. Some of the assessment is practical and some theory. There
are two exams in June which will go towards the final grades. What
