During the first year of the course you will gain good practical skills and understanding of the major performing arts disciplines. You will learn about and experience all aspects of production from backstage to front-of-house. You will develop and expand your skills in dance, music, and drama as well as experiment with performance and rehearsal techniques. In the second year of the course, you will produce a final major project. You will practice and gain experience in live and recorded performances, including performing to an audience in our impressive 350 seat auditorium which has professional sound and lighting rigs. The course is taught by passionate tutors who have real industry experience, and throughout the two years you will go to see professional musical and stage shows, take part in workshops and hear from guest speakers.

What next

This qualification will allow you to progress into higher education, such as a HND in Performing Arts, or other higher education courses in related disciplines. Five GCSE's C or above including English or equivalent level 2 qualification
