This is a practical course which will include learning about starting working in Performing Arts and developing skills in Performing Arts. BTEC Diploma in Performing Arts (Level 1)
Entry Requirements:
Interview required
3 GCSE's grade E or above or entry qualifications at entry level 3. You will be required to successfully pass an interview and audition and able to show us that you have an enthusiasm and interest in this area. Individual cases will be considered on their own merits.
Assessment:
The course is project/assignment and activity based and assessment is continuous throughout the course. Some units will be subject to external assessment. Each unit will be assessed and awarded with a final grade of pass, merit or distinction.
Progression from this course:
Successful completion of this course (at merit grade),as well as any additional qualifications will allow you to progress to the First Diploma one year course in Performing Arts (Acting, Dancing and Singing) You may also be able to go directly into employment and the skills gained on the course, open up opportunities in many careers as you gain self confidence and presentation skills.

Course Costs:
All students on full-time courses will need to pay a materials / resources fee. Details will be provided before enrolment. If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay tuition or registration fees for your course. For students aged 19 or over, there will be a tuition fee (depends on the course) for each year of the course as well as a registration fee (which includes exam fees). However, many students will be eligible for reduced fees and / or financial support towards the costs. Click here for detailed information. Students will also be required to purchase dance uniform and clothing as required, you will be informed at interview.
