About This Course:

You’ll cover all the main skills used in the furniture manufacturing industry to craft timber and upholstery, and in wood finishing.

You’ll also learn how changing culture and lifestyle affects furniture. You’ll gain experience in both modern and traditional methods of furniture production. The course is project based, and you learn in fully equipped workshops.

What You Need:

• Two Standard Grades at Credit level

• Career – successful students may be taken on as trainees by furniture firms. For the mature individual, self employment in this line of work can prove rewarding

• Continuing study – HNC/D in Furniture Craftsmanship with Design and HNC/D Furniture Restoration
