You learn by doing practical activities skill-based projects and

You are continuously assessed by practical exercises and written
work. You produce a portfolio of learning and complete a timed
practical assignment. There is also a one-hour multiple choice exam
in health and safety.
You develop your practical skills and gain a greater understanding of the bespoke furniture industry.
Applicants for a Level 2 programme will normally have:
- At least 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above and/or a completed Level 1
award
- GCSEs to include English and Maths at Grade D or above or Level 1
Functional Skills qualifications
- The willingness to study for an additional qualification in
English and/or Maths

Applicants will be invited to attend an interview and complete an
internal assessment. All students will have their literacy and
numeracy needs supported within the programme.
On completion of the course you could progress to a Level 3 course in furniture design and make or you can seek employment in the industry.
