About This Course:This is a full time construction crafts course. You’ll study practical and theoretical units covering the carpentry and joinery industry. The course has been designed to deliver
a National Qualification in Construction.
You will also have the opportunity to develop transferable skills which are important if you want to gain employment within the Construction Industry.
What You Need:- Two Standard Grades at General Level including English, Mathematics, Science or equivalent, OR
- Personal experience.

What You Study:Some of the subjects you’ll study include: Construction Safety Practices, Bench Joinery Skills, Site Joinery Skills, Carpentry and Joinery Repair and Maintenance. You will also study Communication, Numeracy, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
After The Course:Career
On successful completion of the course you will be in a better position to find employment within the Construction Industry.
Continuing study
There may also be the opportunity to progress onto other National Certificate (NC) and Higher National Certificate (HNC) courses.
How Long:One year, starting in August.
