and is designed to equip managers with the knowledge and skills to
make a significant contribution to an organisation. To accommodate
skill development and practice, learning on the MBA is highly
applied and demands the development of sound analytical and
management skills that are replicated in the workplace. For
effective learning to take place delegates must evaluate and, where
appropriate, apply the skills and knowledge they acquire on the
programme in a working environment. Assignments are therefore
designed to reflect this aim, and delegates are usually encouraged
to work on actual problems/issues from their own workplace. The
programme also aims to develop skills that will equip delegates
with the capacity to deal with problems that regularly arise in the
workplace. It demands the ability and willingness to apply
theoretical concepts to business practice.
