Level 3 Art & Design (3D & Graphics) UAL Extended Diploma

This course consists of the following:

Year 1 - Full UAL Diploma equivalent to 1.5 'A' Levels
Students will develop the knowledge, skills, understanding and confidence required to work independently and to direct their own learning. Students will cover a broad range of design elements that explore specialist areas including the following:

• Advertising
• Interior design
• Product design
• Design craft
• Architecture
• Drawing
• Life Drawing
• Photography
• Ceramics
• 3D making
• Digital design

Year 2 - Full Extended Diploma equivalent to 3 'A' Levels
Students will have the opportunity to explore a design area of their choice, leading to their final major project and a portfolio of work for university or employment. Students will also be involved in an annual studio-based art show.

Projects often link to live briefs and competitions.

Students must have ONE of the following:

• Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design, Fashion or Media at merit, plus GCSE English or Maths at grades A*-C
• 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C, including Art, Design or Design Technology and English or Maths
• Equivalent qualifications - Functional Skills may be accepted in place of GCSE Maths and/or English

A portfolio of art & design work is also required. Applications from mature students are welcomed.

Adults 19+ who have industry experience BUT do not have the necessary qualifications can be invited in for interview.
