This course is designed to give the student an understanding into mental health concerns and problems which will affect one in four of us at some time during our lives. Given the prevalence of mental health problems, one would expect society to be tolerate and sympathetic. Sadly with is often not the case for one of the most vulnerable groups in our society.

As you work through the course, you will come across a number of learning activities encouraging you to reflect on certain issues or your own practice. A learner evidence tracking log can also be completed to monitor progress.
This certificate is an NCFE level 2 (QCF) and is roughly equivalent to a Level 5 in Scotland (SCQF)
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Students will be required to complete an assessment at the end of each unit and send it to their assessor who is available for guidance throughout the course. All units must be completed for the award in order to gain the certificate. An assessor is available throughout the course to support and offer feedback and will be contactable via a college email link.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal entry requirements, however this course would be suitable for the student over 18 years of age.
