This course provides theoretical and practical training within the field of sound recording, mixing and mastering in addition to developing skills in acoustic assessment , live sound, and audio production for video.
Students have the opportunity to work in a professional studio environment with industry standard software and to undertake collaborative projects with students and external partners across the creative industries.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
This course is designed for students who would like to gain a general Sound Engineering qualification, which will allow them to begin a career in industry at entry level, or undertake study at a higher level.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
This course is mainly assessed on a continuous basis and does not include an external end-of-course examination. Coursework takes the form of essays, reports, presentations, case studies and practical projects. College staff undertake all of the assessment of student work.
PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Students can progress on to degree study or enter employment as a freelance professional within the creative industries.
