The Programme
Philosophy of religion is a multi-dimensional course which
develops your ability to think rationally about different aspects
of religion, the various arguments from the existence of God
through human experiences and the fascinating world of science and
quantum mechanics. The AS Level course introduces religious studies
and includes units on the philosophy of religion and religion,
philosophy and science. In A2 Level topics include the ontological
argument; the validity of religious language; the problem of evil
and the mind body and soul and the concepts of personal
identity.

Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or above. A grade C or above in GCSE religious studies would be beneficial.

Study visits may be organised for which there is an additional cost.

Progression
On completion, students have the opportunity to enrol in higher education and study religious studies and the philosophy of religion. It may also be useful for those students who want to begin a career in a caring, teaching or public service profession.

AS Level one year, A Level two years.
