Facilities Management – Certificate/Foundation Degree

This course is for managers or supervisors working in facilities management from backgrounds such as • facilities management suppliers • private finance initiatives • local authorities • higher education • National Health Service • government • private organisations.

It is delivered in two stages. The first stage is the Certificate in Facilities Management which takes 18 months to complete and the second stage is this Foundation Degree in Facilities Management which takes 14 months.

You increase your understanding and awareness of the functions of the organisation and its business environment. You also develop your skills and abilities to help you operate at higher levels in facilities management.

The course combines academic and practical work, studying topics including
• change management
• risk management
• information management and communications
• financial management

We encourage you to see your workplace as a resource for learning and development. Many of your projects and assessments are based on your workplace.

If you successfully complete this course, you may progress to our BA (Honours) Facilities Management.
