Who is this course for?

For people who wish to gain knowledge on life saving CPR Techniques as well as the use of a Defibrillator machine.

What will I do on the course?

Study the reasons behind CPR and the use of AED (Automated External Defibrillation) and gain important knowledge of how they can both contribute to save life when carried out in a competent and methodical manner. The individual benefits of each protocol will also become clear to the student when undertaking this course.

What qualifications do I need?

What does it cost?

£69 per person

What could I do after completing the course?

Be able to recognise when CPR may be beneficial

To undertake CPR using the latest protocols

Be able to use a Defibrillator Machine in a competent and an efficient manner

How will I be assessed?

A) By ongoing observation by the Tutor

B) A written Multi-Choice Test is given at the end of the tuition

C) A scenario based assessment using CPR and Defibrillator skills - observed by tutor

Certificates of Competence will be issued to satisfactory students. The Certificate will last for 1 year only, ensuring that regular practice with Defibrillator and CPR takes place. Also it helps to keep the skills updated with any changes which have been made.

What equipment will I need?

All equipment and study aids are issued to ensure good theoretical and practical knowlegde.
