Who is this course for?Have you always dreamed of playing a musical instrument and never got around to learning? This course, for complete beginners or those who have played a little before, can make that dream come true. Do it this year! Learning in class is fun and helps keep you motivated.
What will I do on the course?
Over the weeks/terms you will learn to:- Recognise and play notes on the bass and treble strings in first and second position
- Learn to read music and playing simple tunes
- Learn how to count time
- Play some basic chords and simple sing along songs
How long does the course last?
- Autumn Term 10 weeks
- Spring Terms 10 weeks
- Summer Term 6 weeks

What equipment will I need?
You will need a guitar, (a nylon string is best), pencil, later you will need a music stand and possibly a foot stool. You will also need to pay for sheet music which will be provided by the tutor.Share your review
