This course combines and develops the knowledge and skills developed at Level 2. It is about practical competence in "real work" situations.
What will I do on the course?
You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. The course is made up of a number of units:- Complex cold water systems
- Complex hot water systems (part 1)
- Complex hot water systems (part 2)
- Complex sanitation systems
- Central heating systems including boilers and control wiring
- Gas supply systems (part 1)
- Gas supply systems (part 2)
- Improvement of business products & services

What qualifications do I need?
- 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English or Maths, OR
- 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C excluding English or Maths, OR
- Level 2 qualification in a related subject
- Adequate standard of English and Maths
- Mature learners with other qualifications and/or experience are also welcomed
- You should have a strong interest in working in plumbing and demonstrate a commitment to succeed

Are there any additional costs?
Learners may be required to purchase minor items of personal equipment during the course. In addition there may be extra curricular trips which have an additional cost, but these are not compulsory for completion of the course. Prices and details will be discussed at interview.
