Who is this course for?

This course is for pre-entry level learners who would benefit from developing the confidence to socialise and communicate with other people. The skills gained in this programme can help the learner to progress onto a pre-entry essential living skills qualification or a range of entry level qualifications.

What will I do on the course?

Learners will develop social skills, by engaging in the world around them. They will develop their confidence to work in a group situation and mix with a wide range of people. The programme is delivered in a supportive environment and mixes personal life skills with communication, reading and writing and maths.

  • Careers advisor at school
We will invite you and the learner into College to meet one of our dedicated team. We will work with the school, parent/guardian and the learner to make sure the learner is directed to the most suitable course for them.

Cannock, Tamworth and Rodbaston Campuses

How long does the course last?

One year - full-time

What could I do after completing the course?

? Progress on to Pre-Entry 2 - EDEXCEL Entry 1 Award in Independent Living Skills.

Are there any additional costs?

Learners may be required to purchase minor items of personal equipment during the course. In addition there may be extra-curricular trips which have an additional cost, but these are not compulsory for completion of the course. Prices and details will be discussed at interview. Bursary funds may be available to help with additional costs.
