This module provides students with a critical understanding of the physical and chemical deterioration mechanisms of concrete, corrosion of steel reinforcement, and the practical health and safety issues relating to maintenance and rehabilitation of concrete structures. The module will develop students' knowledge and skills required for the assessment of concrete structures using destructive and non-destructive testing of concrete structures.
