Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacture (Craft and Technician).
With 14 specialist pathways on offer, this Apprenticeship plays a vital role in attracting
young people to the sector and provides them with the skills, knowledge and experience
which employers seek. It also offers a progress route for the existing workforce to
enhance their skills in order to meet the latest technical, economic and environmental
changes in engineering and manufacturing.

Course content

Health & Safety for working in Engineering Environment Includes Basic Engineering Skills – Engineering & Technical Bench fitting Working with and communicating in engineering 3 specialist performing engineering operations units to suit company business English and mathematics skills contextualised for business. Technical Certificate to support Knowledge and understanding.

  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations (QCF)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Manufacture.
  • Functional Skills English Level 2
  • Functional Skills Maths Level 2
  • Functional Skills IT Level 2
  • Employer Rights & Responsibility
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills

Entry Requirements

Must be Employed and working at level 3 Minimum of 4 GCSE's at Grade C or above to include English, Maths and Science. Applicants should be enthusiastic, disciplined and inquisitive individuals who exhibit initiative and are reliable, conscientious team players.

Delivery & Assessment methods

Combination of “off the job” in college, and “on and off” the job training in company Up to 4 year programme 1 day per week (initial block of 2 weeks then day release) in college plus
