Foundation Degree in Education and Business Management

This is a general business foundation degree developed in conjunction with Aston University. The qualification will culminate in an graduate award ceremony at Aston University.

The course is designed for administrators/support workers who are looking to develop and progress with their organisation.

It is particularly attractive for an educational administrators aspiring to progress.

Course content

Over the three years student study a wide range of general business subjects including

• Quantitive techniques
• Financial accounting
• Corporate governance
• IT for Business
• Law
• Economics
• Marketing
• Management accounting

Students will be required to complete Reflective Practice units every year.

Entry Requirements

Students with appropriate skills and experience but no formal Level 3 qualifications will be considered subject to an interview and initial assessment.

Delivery & Assessment methods

A wide variety of assessments strategies are used. Student will complete assignments, do individual and group presentations, and sit examinations. These will be spread evenly throughout the year.

Progression

Course graduates can progress to Aston University to enter the final year of the BSc combined honours degree programme in Business Administration and Professional Studies. This can also be studied on a part time basis.
