Whether you are just starting out or already working in the sports turf industry, this course offers the perfect opportunity to improve practical skills and gain valuable underpinning knowledge, all within the grounds of our outstanding Grade II historic grounds here at Kingston Maurward. The Diploma can also be taken as part of an Apprenticeship and covers two pathways - Groundsmanship or Greenkeeping

Course Content

You will complete your portfolio of evidence with the assistance of your employer and visiting assessors. This builds on a series of "masterclass" sessions at college to give you the underpinning knowledge and understanding for your chosen topics.

Specialist units for those working within the sports turf industry, including:

  • Machine and maintenance
  • Landscape skills
  • Promotion of health and safety
  • Turf care

The completion of your portfolio will typically take 12-18 months.
