You will study a range of units that will prepare you to care for children.You will also study Functional Skills in ICT, English and Maths at a level appropriate for you.
What does the course lead to?
Upon successful completion you could progress to the Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce or other related Level 2 courses available at the college.You could also gain employment as an assistant in an early years care setting.
Entry requirements
GCSEs at grade E or above (must include English Language) or Entry Level 3 in Caring for Children.You will also need to be successful at interview and provide two suitable references (at least one from a tutor/teacher) prior to acceptance.
